Comment: I highly recommend Patrick! Ive hired him twice in the past 3 years once in 2015 and just finished in 2018. Both cases involved my teenagers making bad choices. First one was facing 10 years and received probation, community service, counseling, fines and a 1 year misdemeanor on his record which is now expunged. Second was facing multiple charges driving without a license, no registration, leaving scene of accident and a marijuana charge. Also got an MIP while out on bond for the first charges. Received 1 year probation and 100$ fine and is able to get his license. Comment: What is one of the worst things you can imagine doing if you heard you were accused of a CSC case and you knew you were innocent? Hearing 25 years to life in itself is absolutely terrifying..now add on finding an honest lawyer that will fight for you and your innocence without hesitation. This is not an easy task, especially when you dont have a ton of money to hand over to a law firm. We found Patrick and Robyn by reading their stellar reviews on Google. Its always a gamble, but he seemed like the way to go. We are down state and needed a lawyer in the local area up state to represent my fiance. We needed someone quickly. We made the appointment with them and came into their office absolutely panicked. He went through the process with us until we fully understood all of the possible outcomes and all of our options. We left his office confident but still knowing it could be a long process. Throughout our lengthy case, Patrick was able to find so many holes in the prosecutions arguments that they had no chance of winning. The police station that initially interviewed my fiance did not do their job properly. They wound up with a confession that was never meant to be a confession. Patrick quickly saw that they did not legally have a confession and stood his ground. The interview/confession wound up thrown out. Not only that, but the whole police department had to be retrained on the proper way to interrogate a suspect. Patrick used his impeccable knowledge of the law, history of being a prosecuting attorney, his down to earth but no nonsense attitude and plain common sense to leave the jury with NO CHOICE but to find him NOT GUILTY. Comment: Being from grand rapids area, it was very inconvienent to address a pair of misdemeanors including a possession charge in kalkaska county. Being only a first offense, Patrick helped work with the prosecuting attorney and the judge to get me a deffered sentence of 1 year probation with by mail reporting, no license suspension, no jail time, had my second charge dismissed, and were fortunate enough to have it all cut in a single trip back to the courthouse. He had even taken a sizeable amount off his retainer for meafter it was all said and done since it all was done in one day. After reviewing his google reviews, I decided to give him a call. When I called, he got right on the phone and I spoke to him for about an hour about my case. I sat no jail time at all and didnt even lose my drivers license. The charge will be removed from my record as soon as my 1 yr probation is over...of course there are hoops to jump thru.. urine tests, aa and court costs, but I am 100% satisfied with the results.. Comment: I contacted Patricks office when my son got arrested for shoplifting less than a month before he was scheduled to leave for military boot camp. We met with him and explained that the best outcome for us was for the case to be wrapped up in time for him to depart on schedule, but the judgement could not involve the military. He ended up getting the case dismissed, but my son was still dropped from the military because the dismissal DID involve the military. However, my son can still enlist after a 90 day wait (the recruiters lied to us- imagine that!). Long story short, the outcome was favorable for us and the cost was exactly what he quoted. All things considered, this case was handled quickly and efficiently and the outcome was just fine.
