Comment: Me and my wife had Nick Barnes as our attorney for a level 5 felony case and I will tell you now that this law firm cares about their clients and the outcome!! I myself have a pretty hefty background and he got me 18 month probation when I could have easily been sent to prison. As for my wife this was her first offense and he got her off with pre trial diversion meaning as long as she stay out of trouble for a year they will wipe her record clean, along with 30 hour community service! We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome! He definitely took control when the courts didn’t want to give us a chance at first. He’s a very outgoing laid back man, very professional!! Me and my wife highly recommend this law firm!! We will always use him as our attorney god forbid we ever need to again! The staff at the office are also so very helpful and sweethearts!

Comment: Jason Dennys a great lawyer he was my attorney before he joined vouga and Barnes and he will be my attorney if he decides to leave as I think he can do just fine on his own. On one occasion a family member was in jail and the judge was on vacation in the Bahamas.We were told by our old attorney that nothing could be done no bond could be set for 5 days because the law required 5 day sentence anyways so they would just have to sit and bond would be set when judge returns. After a little while I called the office to explain that they would lose their job in that amount of time. I got a call back asking if I want him to go to the jail and see them. In meantime I called Jason and was happy to call back and say no thanks. JASON HAS THEM OUT ALREADY. He stirred the pot at the judges chambers until they did video court and set a bond. He has kicked police off my property as they are knocking on the door more then once. He has taken trumped up charges and worked them down to what they really were with an acceptable outcome to all . I have had interaction with police and had one tell another to watch what you do. Hes got a lawyer.

I was always satisfied with his legal expertise and the work he had done for me...Fast foward, my life changes I have a bright future in front of me and need expungments in these former criminal cases. I hired Nick, one because he has always been down to earth with me. Two, every time I ever feel the doom and gloom is near, and all hope for a positive outcome is gone that he isnt going to be able to pull said thing off. I am dead wrong, he litterly does some comparable super hero transformation to where the superhero is saving you right before you smack the cold hard pavement move, but the attorney version of it in legal matters.I am extremely grateful for him, when I expressed my fears and concerns and felt defeated by the courts, Nick somehow used his magic and got all my previous matters done and taken care of in lighting speed!! I would highly recommend him to use for either criminal or civil matters you may be having. Nick Barnes is the type of attorney that will be in your corner for you every step of the way. My advice is to be able to meet or speak with him directly, as he is the one that sees you as a person not a piece of paper, I cannot confirm the same views are expressed from all of the staff members working in the office. Appointments are reasonable timeframes to see him and easy to get into see him rather promptly.In the end I would give him ten stars he really has been a all around solid attonorey that I beyond satisfied with what he has done for me!

Comment: A bad decision by my son put our entire family in turmoil. 2 months after he turned 18 he was put in a solitary confinement cell at Porter County. We were not allowed to see or speak to him for 10 days. The day after I contacted Attorney Barnes he went to the prison to speak with him and let him know we were doing everything we could to get him out. He was our only lifeline to our son and the peace he gave us was so appreciated and will never be forgotten. The staff were always very helpful and understanding. Nick got our sons charges reduced and our family can finally move forward from this nightmare.

Comment: I have used Attorney Jason Denny who is employed here at Vouga, (But he was with a different firm when I used him, before he came to Vouga) and he was amazing! I have never had an attorney that I liked or was impressed with until I retained Jason. He was easy to talk to, very personable, not weird or awkward. He made promises and kept them, unlike other lawyers I have used in the past whove promised something and never followed thru with it. Jason did everything he said he was going to, and helped me out a lot! If it werent for him, my life could be completely different right now and not in a good way. He is the best! If you have a problem and need a criminal attorney, Jason is the man to go to!!
